1v1 battles

Fifteen questions. One opponent. A rating on the line.

Solo practice has no consequence, which is why it stops. A rated 1v1 gives the same chapter a scoreline, a clock and someone on the other side who is trying to beat you to the answer.

How it works

Three steps, no setup

  1. Pick a chapter

Any chapter from Physics, Chemistry or Biology. Rated if you want it to count, casual if you are warming up.

  2. Get matched

Challenge a friend directly from the Social screen, or get matched with an aspirant at a similar rating.

  3. Answer faster

Fifteen questions, roughly 24 seconds each, opponent progress visible throughout. Rating applies the moment it ends.

What you get

The details that matter

  • Timed per question

Every answer is on its own clock, not one long paper. That is where exam pacing actually gets built.

  • Live scoreline

Your score, their score, and a progress dot for every question either of you has answered.

  • Instant reveal

The correct answer appears the moment the question closes — you learn it wrong once, not on results day.

  • Per-subject rating

Physics, Chemistry and Biology each carry their own rating, so one strong subject cannot hide a weak one.

  • Challenge friends

Send a direct challenge from Social. Recent opponents keep your head-to-head record with each of them.

  • Feeds your rank

Rated results move your global rank and count toward Arena seeding.

Questions students ask

How long does a 1v1 battle take?

A rated battle is 15 questions with about 24 seconds on each, so roughly five to seven minutes end to end.

What is the difference between rated and casual?

Rated matches move your subject rating and global rank. Casual matches do not, which makes them the right choice when you are trying a chapter for the first time.

Can I choose the subject and chapter?

Yes. Battles are scoped to a chapter, so you can drill exactly the topic you are revising rather than a random mix.

What happens if my opponent leaves mid-match?

The match resolves and the result is applied — you are not left waiting on someone who stopped answering.
